Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport (BOM) completed the first leg races of the GT4 European Series, which it has been following for 7 consecutive years. BOM pilot Pedro Ebrahim won the trophy after finishing the Rookie Cup in the first place in both races that took place on the weekend. During the first races at the Circuit Paul Ricard, BOM achieved 6th place in the teams category and 7th place in the pilots category.
Berkay Besler and Gabriele Piana competed in the first race of the first leg of the series on Saturday, April 6 with a BMW M4 GT4 car numbered 12 and completed the Silver category of the GT4 European Series in the 6th place. The duo Yağız Gedik and Pedro Ebrahim competed with the car numbered 11 and finished the first day of the races in 10th place.
On April 7, the second day of the first leg races, Berkay Besler and Gabriele Piana competing in the car numbered 12, spun after contact with the rival at the beginning of the race and dropped to the last place. Nevertheless, the duo did not give up and pushed the limits, making 41 successful passes and completing the race in 6th place, leading to an excellent achievement. The duo Yağız Gedik and Pedro Ebrahim started the race in the 30th place but still managed to cross the checkered flag in the 10th place thanks to their outstanding performance; however, they found themselves in the 13th place due to a 10-second penalty they received.
The 2nd Leg races of the GT4 European Series will take place at the Misano Circuit in Italy on May 17-19.
