With the support from Supsan in addition to other sponsors, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport excelled in the 4th round of the GT4 European Series at Italy's famed Misano racing circuit. Despite the hot weather that pushed temperatures close to 40 degrees, the team's drivers managed to pull off successful results against their rivals. The duo, Berkay Besler and Tom Edgar, shared the top spot in Sunday's race while Yağız Gedik and Enzo Joulie climbed from 15th to finish in 4th place.
On the first day of the GT4 European Series 4th round held on July 15-16, Yağız Gedik and Enzo Joulie secured 2nd place but were demoted to 7th due to a 10-second penalty. Berkay Besler and Tom Edgar began the day's race from the 19th place and delivered a high performance to finish 4th.
In the second race on Sunday, Berkay Besler was the first to take the wheel. Starting from 3rd position, Besler took the lead from the first lap, leaving his competitors behind. Following the pit stop, Tom Edgar took over the car, defending the lead against a series of aggressive moves by rivals, which culminated in a victory with the Turkish flag being waved to the sky and Turkish national anthem being played in Italy.
Yağız Gedik, who kicked off from the 15th position, showcased a dominating performance, moving up 8 positions to enter the pit stop in 7th place. Enzo Joulie, who took over driving the car with door number 11, achieved the 4th place and along with his co-driver, earned significant points.
Following these outcomes, the team of Berkay and Tom took 2nd place in the Silver Category.
The 5th round of the GT4 European Series will take place at the Hockenheim Circuit in Germany on September 2-3.
