Türkiye’s largest manufacturer of engine valves, Supsan started using green energy in July. Documenting its transition to green energy with the International Renewable Energy Certificate (I-REC), the company took a giant step on its sustainability journey by meeting the energy needs of its plant in Istanbul with 100% renewable energy sources. Türkiye’s first engine valve brand to manufacture using green energy, Supsan has registered the giant step it took on its sustainability journey in the international arena, too.
One of the Borusan Group companies, Supsan has started using energy obtained from renewable sources at its plant, which can make 9 million parts a year, as part of its strategy to transform its business processes in line with sustainability. The company works with Türkiye’s leading automotive manufacturers and exports to motor vehicle manufacturers in America and Europe, establishing itself as a global player in the spare parts industry, and has documented its transition to green energy with the I-REC certificate. In line with this step it has taken towards sustainability, the company is only going to use green energy from now on and continue guiding the industry and leading by example with sustainable production.

Stating that Supsan was making a difference through sustainability and technology, Supsan General Manager Atınç Ocak said the automotive field was undergoing a huge transformation and that they were doing important work to capture the future today in that field.
